Guidebook to Northern California Breweries is released

Submitted by on September 1, 2013 – 1:24 pmNo Comment

We’ve been on a hiatus here at Road Trips for Beer – don’t worry, we’ll be back soon – but I wanted to quickly post that Stackpole Books released today another in its series of state brewery guides,

Well, in this case, it’s half of a state. California Breweries North (Breweries Series)by noted West Coast beer writer Jay R. Brooks covers the region’s 161 breweries and brewpubs. Each brewery profile includes the types of beer brewed at each site, special features, available tours, and the author’s pick of the best beer to try when you visit. It covers the Central Coast area around Santa Cruz north to the Oregon border, including San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento.

It’s currently available on Amazon.com for $15.36, a 23 percent savings off its list price of $19.95d.

Disclaimer: Road Trips for Beer Editor Gerard Walen is days away from finishing the manuscript for Stackpole’s “Florida Breweries,” and is greatly relieved that Florida does not yet have as many breweries as Northern California. But we’re getting there.
