For the past two years, I tried to wrangle my way into winning a trip to the annual CanFest in Reno, Nevada, happening this year at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino on August 24.

In 2011, I tried to convince the beerlectorate that I deserved the prize because of a traumatic trip to Branson, Missouri.

In 2012, I tried my hand at a bit of beer noir fiction. And it came down to a vote between me and my good friend BrewDad.

Pitiful!

?Lil' can G He won, but was kind enough to take me along … sort of. He taped my picture to an old Oly can.

Pitiful.

That’s why this year, I’m playing the pity card. No clever posts, no elaborate picture galleries.

Just feel sorry for me, would ya?

The link to vote will go live in about a week. I’ll post it here then.

Pitiful.

In the meantime, learn more about the festival at its Facebook page.

And again, click here to vote.
