Cleveland’s Beer Engine Cranks Out the Craft Beer
I’m in Cleveland until Sunday for the International Beer Festival at the I-X Center, and I’ll at least try to post some short updates throughout the next two days.
Before the festivities started Friday evening, a couple of hip folks from the Positively Cleveland CVB took me to the Buckeye Beer Engine bar and brewpub. Here are some quick impressions.
- More than 200 bottles.
- Twenty-seven taps
- Awesome burgers, fried pickles and pork wings.
- And the most impressive thing I learned? Every beer server must be a certified cicerone. (New hires are given two chances to pass the test). You can see the certificates on the wall when you walk in.
The Cleveland craft beer scene rocks, and the Buckeye Beer Engine is a great example.
Time to get ready for the festival.
