What I did on my summer vacation
In August, Road Trips for Beer spent a week as the guest blogger for i.see Kissimmee, the official blog of the Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau. Written from a “guys-eye view,” the posts focus on activities and hot spots that would appeal to a bunch of dudes on a vacation in Central Florida.
Naturally, this included a few visits to some fine beer-drinking destinations. Here are links to those specific stories:
- Fresh from the tap, craft beer helps beat the heat
- 99 bottles of beer, but not at one sitting
- Downtown Disney for the guys
- A trip around the world
- A man must walk before he can crawl
To read all the posts, you can to the Author Archive section of i.seekissimmee.com.
By the way, if you plan on vacationing in Kissimmee, you can apply to be a guest blogger, too. And you’ll even receive a stipend to help pay for the trip!
But that’s not all! VisitKissimmee is giving away a “D.I.Y. (Design It Yourself” Vacation.”
Here’s how the website describes it:
Imagine being able to choose exactly what you want to do on your vacation…and please the entire family!
You could win a 5-day, 4-night trip for four that includes airfare, rental car and stay at a luxurious All Star Vacation Home. Ride horseback under a canopy of sunshine or enjoy a scenic flight in a hot air balloon. Participate in a Medieval Times dinner show for an evening of family entertainment. Want adventure? Go zip-lining, air boating or shoot through the air on a 60-foot rollercoaster at one of Orlando’s famous theme parks.
You can enter on the website through Oct. 27, 2010.
But there’s MORE!
You can also enter another contest for a chance to win the “Ultimate Guys Getaway” and enjoy your own mancation with one of your buds.
You and a friend could win three nights in a Reunion Resort two-bedroom luxury suite, golf instruction at David Leadbetter’s Golf Academy, a round of golf on one of Reunion Resorts three signature courses designed by Palmer, Watson and Nicklaus, and a day on Lake Toho with professional angler Terry Segraves. Plus, you’ll discover unaltered wilderness on an exhilarating airboat ride, glide through the air on a Zip-line Safari, enjoy dinner at Reunion’s Eleven restaurant and a night out at Kool Katz Grill & Pub. It’s the Ultimate Guys Getaway!
Entries for that contest will also be accepted through Oct. 27, 2010.
