Photo by Gerard WalenAdding beer to a recipe can kick the deliciousness of a dish up a few notches, but don’t skimp on quality. A finely crafted brew adds much more flavor than a weak mass-produced lager.

The San Marcos Daily Record in San Marcos, Texas, has gathered three recipes – Beer-battered potato wedges, beer cheese in a bread bowl and savory onion chicken – in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, but culinary adventures with beer should be a year-round pursuit.
